Physical therapy is a crowded search in Spokane Valley. Providence, MultiCare, the national chains and a dozen independent clinics are all after the same few dozen searches, and on most of them a map pack — the three businesses pinned under the map — sits above the organic results and takes the first click. Synergy Healthcare already had the hard cases covered — vestibular migraine, chronic pain, post-surgical rehab — and the reviews to show for it. What it didn't own was the searches Spokane Valley patients actually run: the plain ones, typed by someone who needs a physical therapist this week.

We built the plan around what makes the clinic different. Synergy offers treatments most physical therapy practices don't — frequency-specific microcurrent, craniosacral therapy, visceral and neural manipulation, shockwave — and each one now has a page written to answer the questions a patient types before choosing a clinic, not a brochure paragraph. The clinic's details read the same everywhere they appear online, and the Spokane Valley pages speak the way people here actually search, including the ones who mention paying cash, a work injury, or a car accident.

Our rank tracker reads 84 Spokane Valley searches every three days, thirty results deep, and on the latest pass Synergy came first on 50 of them — the top organic result on 35, first in the map pack on 33, and on 18 it holds both at once, which is as much of the page as a clinic can own. On the 62 searches we've watched since late August, that count went from 27 to 36 in under a month. Search “spokane valley physical therapist,” “physical therapy spokane valley wa” or “physical therapy clinic spokane valley” and the clinic is first in the map pack and the first organic result, ahead of Providence and the chains; search “physical therapy spokane valley,” the category's main search, and it's first in the map pack. It holds both spots on the searches that matter most to a clinic's margins — cash-pay physical therapy, shockwave therapy, workers' comp — and it's first in the map pack for car accidents, sciatica, and simply “best physical therapy spokane.”

The part we're proudest of is newer, and it's where search is heading. Of the 34 tracked searches where Google now puts an AI Overview above the results, 27 cite a Synergy page as a source. In Google's AI Mode — the conversational search Google now offers beside the results — the clinic is cited on 50 of the 84, and on “physical therapy spokane valley” it's the first source named. Across the country, Google's AI Overviews have cited Synergy on 84 different health questions over the past year. And when a patient skips Google and asks an AI assistant — “What's the best clinic in Spokane Valley for frequency-specific microcurrent?” — Claude names Synergy first on six of the twenty questions we put to it, and ChatGPT on three. That's what it looks like when a small practice becomes the reference for what it does — and it's the same writing that earned the local rankings, read by a different machine.
